How to give advice by not hurting people's feeling

If you think you have something in your mind that you want to share with somebody but you don't know the right way to do it,then you might as well shutdaEfUp. Ok that was a short version of what i was thinking earlier. Here's my deeper thought :

I just believe that the approach of giving advice or share something that you think is beneficial to other people varies and it depends on the individuals that you are approaching. I mean some people are simply open minded but some just don't. So you might want to think further on what is the best way to share it with those kinda ppl. The easiest way is get to know the person and learn on his/her character. But there are some ppl that just couldn't understand ppl's character eventho they've known the person for a long period. It's plain >#&% i guess. Ooopps sorry, it slipped.. :P So if this doesn't work and you still want to and need to tell it, i guess the best way is to just summarize the info and let the person know the important part of it and then the most important thing for you to do is don't be judgmental! And avoid provoking people too if they simply do not take your advice or even have a different opinion than you do!
It comes back to the part where YOU (yourself) THINK that it is a good info..and do not think that you are good enough(ego) that you think people should follow your way / your advice. Do not assume that the other person thinks the same as you as individuals are allowed by law to have their own opinion.
Well, that are some that I can think of so far. You know you can always depend on google so here are some useful links:

Intonation conveys your feeling

Intonation = the rising and falling sounds of the voice when speaking.

Language conveys very specific information, such as how to get somewhere or what someone is doing. It can be also used beyond the exact meaning of the words to indicate how the speaker feels about what he is saying, or how he personally feels at that moment.

Above source--> http://www.5minuteenglish.com/jun12.htm

So make sure you use the correct intonation to avoid other people interpreting what you said wrongly and leads to misunderstanding. I don't know about other people but I think I usually understand the meaning of people's true thoughts to my questions just by listening to his/her intonation when answering. 1 of the strength I have in myself when I did the StrengthFinder test is "empathy" and it means I have a strong sense of understanding people's emotions around me. So yeah, use your intonation correctly if you don't want me to know how you truly feel when you talk to me, otherwise I will know your exact feeling. :)

Kerja gila di akhir bulan Jun

6th June yg lepas which was Friday, me and hubby went to Kampar for my cousin's solemnization, and we stayed there until Saturday. It was my 1st time being there. Jauh jgk, dah la tk penah p, keluar rumah lambat lak. Asal2 nk convoy skali ngan rombongan pengantin tp we were too behind. Haha. Sbbnya the night before I came back late from office , I think it was 12am+ buat keja ofc yg bangang. We arrived there almost on time, actually it was 10mins sebelum ":Azahir, aku nikahkan dikau...." and sempat la nk tgk muka cuak my cousin and his wife. Hehe, that reminds me of my own big day too...berdebaq rasa mcm nk terkeluaq jantung :D Anyhow, it was only 2 lafaz. Haha...I know couzie, you were nervous. Understood your feeling :) After mkn2 nasi kenduri, we went back to hotel, semua melepek tdoq dlm bilik hotel tk sedaq apa dah. 6is mcm tu, Hooh called me and asked me to accompany her to find food. ishk, minah ni mmg kaki makan. Actually I have went out to find some cakes kt bakery tepi hotel tu, terpaksa la keluar lg skali p jalan kaki ~20mins to KFC. Anyway it was quite fun as we got to see some local shops along the roadside. - rumah2 kedai. Mlm tu ada tahlil and katam quran, but I skipeed coz I didn't bring extra kurung :P Only hubby went there.

The next day, right after checkout, all of us went to Dewan Kampar for the wedding reception sebelah perempuan.And here comes the kerja gila part. It all starts from an idea of going somewhere after kenduri since it was Saturday and we had another day utk meronda. :) We decided to go to Cameron since in the google map it says it would take us about 1 hour and 27 mins from the kenduri spot. But I didn't know we were going to take that crazy-curvy roads for the whole journey. Jenuh dok menahan muntah2. Dah tu byk plk bus/lori yg lalu kt jalan tu, and it was horrible, it took us 2+ hours to arrive. We arrive there around 620pm. And searched for hotel, but non was available. sampai hotel kedai kopi cina pn kami cari, but semuanya FULL. tk sangka pulak bnda nk jd mcm tu. We spent around 2 hours cari kt semua hotel kt Brinchang dan Tanah Rata, and it was a failed mission. Bayangkan, dgn baju kenduri kain sempit, sorg lg dok berbaju melayu dgn kain sampin dok cari hotel. Tk ka mcm org gila kt tgh pekan Cameron. I saw some tourists with their big bags were trying to find place to stay too. Hmm...it was unlucky for us, and finally we decided to go back to KL. Hubby was tired due to driving earlier, so I became the driver. Half way the journey, hubby plk nk muntah and pening teruk sgt, and he fell asleep. Tinggailah aku terkapai2 dok drive tgh2 mlm buta kt jln lengkok2 yg gelap gelita tu. Perghh...mmg pengalaman...and mmg dah serik sangat nk p Cameron tk book hotel dlu. So hgpa yg terbaca post aku ni, toksah la dok buat kerja gila no... At least kalau dh last min pn, call lah dlu hotel mana2 and make sure you've booked somewhere sebelum tekan minyak keta, panjat bukit and smp kt sana lalu terpoyo bila hotel semua dh penuh. Mmg tekanan perasaan weiihhhh......percayalah.  :D

Last weekend

Last weekend we went back to Kedah to attend my friend's wedding at Bertam. Bertolak around 8pm and  (driving at ~150km/h at some parts of the highway where there was no traffic jam) reached at Nurul's house at around 2ish. I drove from Selangor to Penang due to my sleepy-hollow husband.

On Sat we planned to hv lunch kt BeeChew Butterworth but it was closed due to public holiday. Deym, we were frustrated coz my husband never tried the food over there and aku plk mmg dh lama tk makan n kempunan nk makan kt situ. Dia punya inchi cabin chicken...pergh sehingga menjilat pinggan wa cakap lu.  And chicken chop dia, fuh *ayaqliuqdahdokberkumpuidalammulutlani*... aku baru google and jumpa blog ni and blog ni review pasal restoran ni. so baca kt sini lah. a few info pasal erstoran ni is it is advisable to reserve the place before you go because the restaurant will be packed almost everyday. and the shop closes very early at around 8pm daily.

:: Chicken chop @ Sin Bee Chew restaurant ::

So we ended up eating at an Indian restaurant. The food was nice, I had fish vindaloo and fried vege with garlic naan. (tiba2 terpikiaq nk makan naan kapitan pulak!deym)

After lunch we went back and lepak kt sky lounge rumah Nurul and chit chat. at 4pm went back to SP. 8pm went to Dass wedding at Penang Golf Resort Bertam. Nak jadikan cerita time nk blk tu my blackie tk bole start. pergh dh la 10pm time tu kan. gelabah jgk call toyota breakdown service and they told my membership is not active so they were gonna charge me RM250 for towing the car till SP. Then nasib baik lah my hubby told me that his brother had similar incident and called the insurance company, they will cover the tow up to 50kms. Fuhh...nsb baik la...kalau tak melayang $$$ aku. We waited for the towtruck to arrive almost 1 hour jgk. Time tu nsb baik lah nurul still ada so she sent us back to SP, actually we wanted to ride in the truck but due to safety the driver didn't allow us to seat in blackie on his truck... Sampai SP almost midnight, we asked the truck to send blackie smp toyota padang temusu. yalah, dh tgh malam, nk hantar p kedai semua dah katop. mau tk mau toyota ja yg ada security guard and allow us to park in the service centre. Kt toyota tu pulak punya lah byk anjing. Anjing yg jenih nk tokak org ja pulak tu. dok kelitin kaki Azmal. Aku pulak yg risau kot satg kena samak la pulak. Lepas dah setel pasai blackie, we went to had supper kt kedai mee udang kt simpang keluaq highway tu. Abg Syam n Azmal order mee udang, depa pulun makan walaupun bg aku tk sedap langsung, baik la indomee 10x sedap.

:: Blackie yg tgh menangih dok atas ambulan ::

Ahad tu since Toyota tak bukak (carry fwd public holiday), so melangut lah aku n Azmal kt rumah mama. Br ja plan that day nk bwk mama p Penang, tk kesampaian hajat. Cuma sampai hajat nk tdoq ptg ja, tu pun tk brp mau lelap sbb cuaca hangat nk mampuih. Pulak tu aku rs jam mcm jd slow kt sana, siang punya lah lama, mcm tukaq timezone pulak.. dah la panas terik bahang mcm apa. Mangkit tdoq tgk br pukui 3, mangkit lg skali pukui 4.. aku rs kalau kt kl aku tdoq mangkit ja dh pukui 7.

Isnin tu mmg dh siap2 ambik cuti so nsb baik la, kalau dk sure kena EL. Plan nk p merata tpt tp transport tkdak. Last skali mama call cab n htq p pekan. Nsb baik mama plk byk member2 teksi, so senang la nk panggil depa. Mula2 p CS sbb nk p maybank, then from maybank menapak tgh matahari terpacak atas kepala tu jalan smp bank rakyat (punya lah lama gila aku tk jalan kaki kt pekan SP, sempat lah aku lalu dan menghidu aroma black river) Sampai ja bank rakyat, peluh turun mcm waterfall. Then dh setel kt sana, p menapak pulak smp station taxi, naik taxi smp toyota. Nasib baik la kt toyota tu tunggu for ~1.5 hours ja. $$ melayang lg. T_____T tkpa la, asaikan blackie dah sihat kembali. Lepas dh dpt blackie, wajib lah singgah kt fav shop - kedai bundle Doubt. Brg2 dia mmg menarik and few items yg aku rembat kt situ mmg menjadi most beloved cloth aku smp la ni. Tp that day p mcm tkdak brg menarik sgt, ada seluaq tp bila aku try tk muat, or maybe ka sbb cuaca panas dan kaki aku mengembang 5cm? (sedapkan hati) Tkpa, hujung bulan ni harap1 saempat lah nk p sana lg.

Around 1030 pm push off from SP to KL and we arrived at ~3am.

Homemade Raspberrybanana Smoothie

Most of my entry is on food but now its about drink. =) Last week (dh lama baru nk cerita) we made banana raspberry smoothie. Maklumlah dh beli blender, dpt plk 2 bijik, sebiji aku buat blend cabai dan bahan2 masak yg lain, lg sebijik bole blend drinks! yay! :D

Actually senang ja bahan2 dia (kami reka sendiri):

  • 3 ripped banana
  • Full cream milk (we used dutchlady)
  • Ice cubes

pulun tak kami? siap potong pisang letak tepi gelas? :P

Eat, Pray, Love 2012

We juz got back from our 4D3N honeymoon trip to Bali. As no one could send us to the airport, we decided to drive there by ourselves and park at the LCCT Zone C parking area which is the cheapest among all the other parking zones over there. Luckily our parking spot was not vr far from the terminal. The daily fee is RM33.50, so it was RM134 juz for the parking ticket.. fuhhh...berpeluh jgk nk byr :P

Ok here's the summary of our itinerary

Thurs - 3rd May
Arrived at Denpasar Airport ~1230pm
Ketut, our driver that was hired by VeraWedding travel agent has already waited for us at the airport when we arrived, he held a board with our names on it, i didn't managed to snap a pic tho. Sigh, should've asked him to hold it longer. haha.. He right away took us to Ubud which takes almost 1.5 hours from the airport. Here are some facts that I stole from wiki.. :) (so lazy to describe it myself)

Ubud is a town on the Indonesian island of Bali in Ubud District, located amongst rice paddies and steep ravines in the central foothills of the Gianyar regency. One of Bali's major arts and culture centres, it has developed a large tourism industry.Ubud has a population of about 30,000 people, but it is becoming difficult to distinguish the town itself from the villages that surround it.
Along the way to Ubud, we can see some hills and paddy fields. Most of the locals own paddy fields, an dI got to know from 1 of them that the paddy that they harvest are just enough for their family, not for sale. Ubud is a rural and remote area which has less development because they wanted to preserve the culture, and most of them are poor.

It's interesting for us to see and passed by some different villages which has different specialized skills. First we could see a village that is specialized in woods carving, then we passed by a village which has stone carving skills where they carve the Hindu gods to be placed at their home or at the Pura (Hindu temples). Ketut also mentioned that there are other villages which are specialized in batik, marble and so on. I personally think that is cool, I mean let's say we wanted to custom made a wooden chair, we will not have to look for any other place than the wooden-carving-specialized village.

It usually takes around 1.5 hours to Ubud but, it took us 2+ hours. That was particularly because we asked the driver to stop us at the batik shop. My Indonesian friend told me that I should get bali hand-drawn batik because the quality is good and the design is quite different. So I bought one, and thinking to turn it into a palazzo pants ;) I only bought 2meters though because of its price :P  And then we stopped by their mini mart to get some snacks in case we get hungry at nights :)

We arrived at Kupu Kupu Barong at 4ish. We were welcomed by their friendly staffs who have been waiting for us to arrive. The staff then place a jasmine garland on each us. They also served us cold towel and welcome drinks upon arrival. We even being assigned with a private butler :) I felt like a princess! He brought our luggage to the villa, while we went to the restaurant to enjoy the high tea and there were some kids learning cultural balinese dance :)

:: Just arrived at the majestic Kupu kupu Barong Tree Villa & Spa ::

We were quite tired of the journey ( I only slept for 2.5 hours the night before due to last-min packing :P), so we headed back to the villa for refreshments. At around 8+ pm we headed to the La' View restaurant for the romantic dinner which was included in the honeymoon package as well. The food was OK for me.

:: Romantic dinner at La'View restaurant ::

The next day, we went out to Ubud city by the hotel free shuttle. We did some shopping and visited the Ubud palace. I wanted to see the Monkey Forest as it is 1 of the tourist attractions but was too tired to walk there. It's ok, we have the same place in Penang - Botanical Garden,I guess it's just the same. hehe.. We were there for 4 hours and headed back to the villa at 430pm. It was the 2nd day and we wanted to make use of the limited hours left at our majestic villa :) So we didn't go for dinner, we only had some snacks bought from the mini mart earlier.

The next day we went to the spa which was also included in the package. It was nice, with the calming songs and aroma and all, but in term of body-refreshing , I personally prefer Thai massage.

After spa, we checked out from the villa at 12pm..sobs2... :'( I really didn't want to leave that place, but I don't have the $$ to pay for extra nights... double sobs.... :'( :'(

:: Before checkout, gonna miss this place a lot! :( ::

We arrived in Kuta at around 2pm. We checked in at Mercure Kuta which is just beside the Hard Rock Hotel. The room is cozy but quite small. I wasn't feeling well, so we decided to stay at the hotel until 430pm. Hubby actually wanted me to rest at the hotel , but I feel bad for him not being able to enjoy our last day in Bali. Plus we have already paid for the driver to drive us around Bali for 10hours. It was only RM150! Quite cheap right? The driver fetched us at 430pm and we straight away went to Uluwatu to catch the sunset and Kecak dance show. We managed to arrive on time but it was quite cloudy that the sun was barely seen. It was a huge crowd at the dance show, but luckily we managed to squeezed in. Again this is a wiki-sourced info on the dance :)

Also known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant, the piece, performed by a circle of 150 or more performers wearing checked cloth around their waists, percussively chanting "cak" and throwing up their arms, depicts a battle from the Ramayana where the monkey-like Vanara helped PrinceRama fight the evil King Ravana. However, Kecak has roots in sanghyang, a trance-inducingexorcism dance

It was a great show, the actors did some standup comedies too :)  We managed to take some pictures with the dancers.

After that the driver brought us to Jimbaran to have seafood by the beach. The weather was nice. The ambiance even nicer. There was a man by the beach who sells roasted corn. There were fireworks and there was a live band. And in front of us was the sea. :) The food was not so nice, and it was pricey. We were actually paying for the view instead of the food I guess.

:: Dinner at Jimbaran ::

The next day which was our last day in Bali, after checkout we left our luggage at the hotel and went for a walk at the famous Kuta beach. We also walked to the shops. I did a lot of walking and was really tired. I guess it's because of the age factor too. :p

Our flight was at 920pm and we arrived at the airport at around 5pm. Feeling sticky, I decided to take bath at the airport and change clothes before I check in the luggage. The  flight was delayed around 20mins.

:: Bye bye Bali. We hope to see you again in the future ::

We safely arrived at LCCT around 1ish and arrived home at 2ish.
