How to become a well-known person

My work is mainly supporting the automation system in Dallas. Once development is done, I need to test and release at their side, remotely. That's why most of the time I need to work late nights.

Lately I've been trying to complete all the backlogs projects in my long project queue list. 3 passed down projects by my ex-colleagues (cukup tk suka nk kena sambung keja org lain) 2 ADF projects, 1 new ADF project. Most of the projects are in the midst of releasing and near to completion. Do you know what happen to your brain when you have more than 3 projects at a time? If the brain can speak, it will scream. If the brain is a bomb, it will explode. If the brain is a car, it will crash! There was 1 week that I've worked day and night and slept only a few hours just because to commit to !@#$@#% datelines.

I know it does not relate to the post title yet so far. But here is how I became a famous / visible / well-known person in US. Amarika you knows! Well, I know this from the project update session with my boss this evening. This is his exact dialogue:

"Ana, you're now more visible to the Dallas team" ujar boss ku sambil tersengih.

It took me a few minutes to compute and understand the real meaning of the message.

When I finally got it.. "It's good to be a famous person. Even though a famous trouble maker." I laughed and he did too.

Yup I know I've been creating a lot of issues lately that basically ruined the Dallas engineers day. Those issues happened when I was sleeping apparently.

Apart from the joke, I took the courtesy to apologize “I’m sorry, I know it was my bad. I will definitely be more cautious and careful and mindful next time” while trying to flash a heart-melting smile. 

“Issue is a thing but I think your name came up in the project release notification more frequent now, so they recognize you” ok la tu, nk bg sedap hati aku. 

So that’s my story of how I suddenly became a well-known person in my company at US.

Luckily I got a cool boss that could bear with all the trouble I’ve done so far including spilling a whole cup of hot oldtown coffee over my laptop and the only thing that survived was the HDD. And it also happened only recently -___-‘ sorry boss. I am 1 careless person, I knoooowww.

How to give advice by not hurting people's feeling

If you think you have something in your mind that you want to share with somebody but you don't know the right way to do it,then you might as well shutdaEfUp. Ok that was a short version of what i was thinking earlier. Here's my deeper thought :

I just believe that the approach of giving advice or share something that you think is beneficial to other people varies and it depends on the individuals that you are approaching. I mean some people are simply open minded but some just don't. So you might want to think further on what is the best way to share it with those kinda ppl. The easiest way is get to know the person and learn on his/her character. But there are some ppl that just couldn't understand ppl's character eventho they've known the person for a long period. It's plain >#&% i guess. Ooopps sorry, it slipped.. :P So if this doesn't work and you still want to and need to tell it, i guess the best way is to just summarize the info and let the person know the important part of it and then the most important thing for you to do is don't be judgmental! And avoid provoking people too if they simply do not take your advice or even have a different opinion than you do!

It comes back to the part where YOU (yourself) THINK that it is a good info..and do not think that you are good enough(ego) that you think people should follow your way / your advice. Do not assume that the other person thinks the same as you as individuals are allowed by law to have their own opinion.

Intonation conveys your feeling

Intonation = the rising and falling sounds of the voice when speaking.

Language conveys very specific information, such as how to get somewhere or what someone is doing. It can be also used beyond the exact meaning of the words to indicate how the speaker feels about what he is saying, or how he personally feels at that moment.

So make sure you use the correct intonation to avoid other people interpreting what you said wrongly and leads to misunderstanding. I don't know about other people but I think I usually understand the meaning of people's true thoughts to my questions just by listening to his/her intonation when answering. 1 of the strength I have in myself when I did the StrengthFinder test is "empathy" and it means I have a strong sense of understanding people's emotions around me. So yeah, use your intonation correctly if you don't want me to know how you truly feel when you talk to me, otherwise I will know your exact feeling. :)

Last weekend

Last weekend we went back to Kedah to attend my friend's wedding at Bertam. Bertolak around 8pm and  (driving at ~150km/h at some parts of the highway where there was no traffic jam) reached at Nurul's house at around 2ish. I drove from Selangor to Penang due to my sleepy-hollow husband.

On Sat we planned to hv lunch kt BeeChew Butterworth but it was closed due to public holiday. Deym, we were frustrated coz my husband never tried the food over there and aku plk mmg dh lama tk makan n kempunan nk makan kt situ. Dia punya inchi cabin chicken...pergh sehingga menjilat pinggan wa cakap lu.  And chicken chop dia, fuh *ayaqliuqdahdokberkumpuidalammulutlani*... aku baru google and jumpa blog ni and blog ni review pasal restoran ni. so baca kt sini lah. a few info pasal erstoran ni is it is advisable to reserve the place before you go because the restaurant will be packed almost everyday. and the shop closes very early at around 8pm daily.

So we ended up eating at an Indian restaurant. The food was nice, I had fish vindaloo and fried vege with garlic naan. (tiba2 terpikiaq nk makan naan kapitan pulak!deym)

After lunch we went back and lepak kt sky lounge rumah Nurul and chit chat. at 4pm went back to SP. 8pm went to Dass wedding at Penang Golf Resort Bertam. Nak jadikan cerita time nk blk tu my blackie tk bole start. pergh dh la 10pm time tu kan. gelabah jgk call toyota breakdown service and they told my membership is not active so they were gonna charge me RM250 for towing the car till SP. Then nasib baik lah my hubby told me that his brother had similar incident and called the insurance company, they will cover the tow up to 50kms. Fuhh...nsb baik la...kalau tak melayang $$$ aku. We waited for the towtruck to arrive almost 1 hour jgk. Time tu nsb baik lah nurul still ada so she sent us back to SP, actually we wanted to ride in the truck but due to safety the driver didn't allow us to seat in blackie on his truck... Sampai SP almost midnight, we asked the truck to send blackie smp toyota padang temusu. yalah, dh tgh malam, nk hantar p kedai semua dah katop. mau tk mau toyota ja yg ada security guard and allow us to park in the service centre. Kt toyota tu pulak punya lah byk anjing. Anjing yg jenih nk tokak org ja pulak tu. dok kelitin kaki Azmal. Aku pulak yg risau kot satg kena samak la pulak. Lepas dah setel pasai blackie, we went to had supper kt kedai mee udang kt simpang keluaq highway tu. Abg Syam n Azmal order mee udang, depa pulun makan walaupun bg aku tk sedap langsung, baik la indomee 10x sedap.

Ahad tu since Toyota tak bukak (carry fwd public holiday), so melangut lah aku n Azmal kt rumah mama. Br ja plan that day nk bwk mama p Penang, tk kesampaian hajat. Cuma sampai hajat nk tdoq ptg ja, tu pun tk brp mau lelap sbb cuaca hangat nk mampuih. Pulak tu aku rs jam mcm jd slow kt sana, siang punya lah lama, mcm tukaq timezone pulak.. dah la panas terik bahang mcm apa. Mangkit tdoq tgk br pukui 3, mangkit lg skali pukui 4.. aku rs kalau kt kl aku tdoq mangkit ja dh pukui 7.

Isnin tu mmg dh siap2 ambik cuti so nsb baik la, kalau dk sure kena EL. Plan nk p merata tpt tp transport tkdak. Last skali mama call cab n htq p pekan. Nsb baik mama plk byk member2 teksi, so senang la nk panggil depa. Mula2 p CS sbb nk p maybank, then from maybank menapak tgh matahari terpacak atas kepala tu jalan smp bank rakyat (punya lah lama gila aku tk jalan kaki kt pekan SP, sempat lah aku lalu dan menghidu aroma black river) Sampai ja bank rakyat, peluh turun mcm waterfall. Then dh setel kt sana, p menapak pulak smp station taxi, naik taxi smp toyota. Nasib baik la kt toyota tu tunggu for ~1.5 hours ja. $$ melayang lg. T_____T tkpa la, asaikan blackie dah sihat kembali. Lepas dh dpt blackie, wajib lah singgah kt fav shop - kedai bundle Doubt. Brg2 dia mmg menarik and few items yg aku rembat kt situ mmg menjadi most beloved cloth aku smp la ni. Tp that day p mcm tkdak brg menarik sgt, ada seluaq tp bila aku try tk muat, or maybe ka sbb cuaca panas dan kaki aku mengembang 5cm? (sedapkan hati) Tkpa, hujung bulan ni harap1 saempat lah nk p sana lg.

Around 1030 pm push off from SP to KL and we arrived at ~3am.

driving & hujan

Skrg ni kl tgh hujan lebat. probably not so lebat but the wind is so fierce. Payung aku pun hampir melayang td. Basah tk payah ckp la, mmg dh stgh jeans aku basah kuyup. luckily I changed from skirt to jeans ms blk lunch kt rumah td, kalau dak mau tersungkuq dlm lecah hujan td.

Bila hujan & drive selalu ada byk bnda dlm kepala otak aku ni nk proses.

1. Traffic jam

i can skip this part as my current house is just 10mins away from my ofc :D driving of coz, so kalau jam pun maybe la 15 min. hehe. jgn jeles. as u guys know traffic in kl aftr ofc hours ni x sah la kalau x jam kn... when it rains, mau tau la.. double/tripple the normal heavy traffic..same as penang so ive gone thru this when u was working at HW last time, n i commute daily from SP at that time.


2. Jemuran

Baju yg sidai smlm atau td pg dh angkat ka belum. sbb kalau belum mmg sia2 lah usaha membasuh&menyidai tu, kdg2 air hujan ni asidic (nak2 kt industrial area)so kalau dh kena byk mcm kena basuh blk. nasib baik tghari td decided nak ambik b yg sidai tu n jemur kt dlm rumah.


3. Astro

Well known issue to Astro users, kalau hujan turun sangap la dpn TV tu bb Astro hanya tayangkan rancangan 'dot kaler kunin'. So on the way blk td aku ada terpikir jgk mlm ni nk tgk AI season 11, adakah anganku ini akan tercapai kalau dh hujan lebat. Astro sila jgn jd sgt haramJ sbb bil dh naik tp mutu penyiaran tak naik2.. sila improve, dlm hati aku ni mmg dh ada niat nk cancel n move to unifi ja.


4. Nak buka pagar, masuk rumah

Part ni pn aku bole skip this time sbb now kt kl duduk rumah sarang burung aka apartment. ada covered parking yg sambung ngan block rumah. so this is one of he good point staying in appt i guess. well of coz la kalau rumah landed, awning smp ke luar gate n auto gate tu lg champion. utk org yg sederhana mcm aku yg x mampu nk beli landed house kt kl , appt ni pn dh cukup baik lah.

apa lagi ahh..ohh of coz part plg best nk fikir is --> hujan2 ni SYOK utk TIDOQ.. errr tidoq la sgt , kalau barig kt katil time2 mcm ni bkn leh tdoq but end up main iphone. huhuu..

1kg of liquid detergent = ??? litres of liquid detergent :)

Title tu is topic argument of me n fiance hari sabtu lepas. Punya la dh tkdak bnda lain dh nk argue. Kehkehkeh... Semua sbb p beli dynamo kt cold storage. My fiance claimed that 1l = 1kg, i disagreed right away sbb detergent is not purely water (H2O). Dia kn dh campur zarah2 lain. Cewah scientific argument lah kali ni. My fiance answer is right if we're weighing 1kg of water. (still tak tepat sbb actually 1litre=0.997kg.hehehe) Hehe.. Last2 x dpt jwpn coz it varies based on the liquid density. kena p timbang sendiri 1 litre brp kg. :D so who won this argument? Partially me for not having the answer and denying the fact that 1kg of liquid detergent equal to 1 litre .Hahaha

5S -color sorted wardrobe :)

I reorganized the clothes in my wardrobe and obviously i hv lotsa black ones. One of the purpose to do this is to determine what are the colors I need to look for during my next round shopping :D teeeheeeheee. ...hmmm I suppose I should buy more yellow, or other bright colors ;)

Back then, movie marathon day used to be our quarell day as well.. now no more. We're finally becoming mature adults now :D

Weekend = bday Nurul + WC final

Nurul's bday falls on 12th Jul the same date as WC final, so it can be considered as 1 of her greatest bday gift of all (she said so...heheee). That night me, Lyn, Ksham, Abg Mad and Sunther brings her out for dinner at Chillis @ gurney. We had big posh dinner lah that night. ;) I had bacon burger, Nurul mushroom burger, Lyn 'i-forgot-what' burger and Ksham and Abg Mad shared a plate of fajita (nasib baik share coz it is a very big portion for 1 person) and Sunther had Chic grill (I think so...dh lupa). After dinner, photo and crazy jokes sessions we headed to Eastin Hotel which I had pre-book for our WC final show! hehee.. tkde la book apa pun just that I have a close friend's hubby working there - Syima's hubby - Najib, so senang la nk arrange ;) nasib baik la ada diorg, if not sure no place coz the lounge area mmg limited for the big crowd that went there on that night. Even tho none of the teams is my fav one, but I enjoyed the time I spent with all my friends watching and arguing over the games. :D

Eclipse finally 'ere!

Today I went to see Eclipse at Sunway Carnival-alone. Lyn,"aku nk kemas brg nk pindah" -ok she's moving out from that hse in Kulim so a bit bz. Nurul,"aku tk tgk lg part 2, nanti aku tk paham"- betul jgk, so I decided to lend her my dvd, tp tk bg lagi. Hm, since ramai yg busy, I went alone. I was supposed to watch it on Friday (dah beli tiket since Tue, burn la that tix) but I was not feeling well, in fact I was on MC-demam+flu+sorethroat,now still recovering, even when I go juz now, I was still sick. :P But tak leh tunggu any longer to see the movie since I read the book already. Well, it was great but the book is so much more intriguing, biasa la msti lg detail and movie they need to skip some parts, kalau tak jadi la movie 10jam kot :)

After movie, I went to hv lunch at BBQChic-alone. I was planning to hv lunch with Lyn but she said another 1 hr fr her to arrv. I was really starving since I didn't take bfast. Aftr fin, I went to Popular to search for 'The Host' by Stephanie Meyer, but it's sold out, DEM! But the book is still available in Megamall, I might get it on Tue/Wed kot masa lunch or aftr work. Hope still ada.

Lyn arrv at 320 as she said earlier. We went to search for Nurul's bday gift, and bought the wrappers and card. Selesai semua tu, teman Lyn lunch at Nandos. Aftr fin mkn, and a few pictures snap over there and dah kena renungan tajam dr waiter2 Nandos, kitorang pun blah, p Optical 88 cari lens ;) Bought 2 pairs, actually ada promo buy 2 box, free 3rd one. So lyn take 1 box, me 2. So cheap 3 boxes for RM100! My power nye dah sold out, so need to wait til Wed. Can't wait to wear my Cullens-color lens, br lah ngam kalau tgk Eclipse the next time. Haha...yes, I want to watch it again fr sure!

Time for blog-grooming :) & IE7 limitation :(

There are certainly a lot of limitations in IE7! I hate it, and can do nothing bout it since this lappy is co prop. I can't do anything i like with it (obviously I'm in IT dept, I won't do nasty stuffs :p) , like upgrading the browser version, it sux! I was planning to copy some cute background+template for my blog-grooming process, but I can't do it using this IE7. I have a way though, but I'm too lazy to do it now, maybe tomorrow :p

I was blog-reading till headache (y can't i go to ZZzzzzZZZ early!!, I promised myself that I would have enuf sleep tonight, but i broke the promise i made to myself...grrr) I'm going to get my sleep now alright.

How Time Flies

Dah nk masuk bulan June 2010...how time flies! I've been here for 2 months+. Patut la rasa cam busy semacam ja...hehehe. Tp ok lg kot from prev one :p at least there're NO crazy midnight calls anymore, kadang2 rindu jgk la nk buat EI, but hmm...dunno lah. Konflik diri melanda. Not sure whether I should stay in this current path or go back to prev one???

Dah Sebulan Kat HW :)

15th --> Hr ni genap lah sebulan kat tpt baru. Alhamdulillah so far so good (I hope it'll maintain this way, guess will not, biasa la mana ada semua bnda senang kan.. msti ada ups and downs). Getting busier each day with more and more SAP projects coming in. Yeah, this is what I came here for, to be an SAP expert, so that my market value will be higher and then I'll be SAP consultant with 5 figure salary (huhu...dream on! :D ). Right,....back to reality, :) esok ada training, I'll be taking up Sandra's SAP security role, and she'll be giving me the training. Once complete, I'll be having new responsibility. She's passed me some related docs to review before training, so mlm ni ada homework la pulak, it's ok, for my own benefit jgk. But apa2 pun thanks to my great mentor for his great help and guidance. He's been such a great colleague and help to not only me, but lotsa ppl! It's nice when you've this kinda ppl as your team mate, eventhough the work is stressful enuf.
Guess that's all I've fr now, wish me luck!

juz got bck from spore+jb last night.. saw the subject? dah rs mcm jetsetter pulak...ehehhe.. for the 1st time aku buat keja mcm ni.. naik flight p kl, then naik keta p jb..tdo umah naz.. (thx naz fr the super nice hospitality....mcm hotel betul..terkejut nmpk ada towel+toothbrush hotel kt atas katil...eehhehe.. seriously can't thank u enuf, also for tlg blikan kek.. ;) and pglkan diorg semua fr celebration... great planner! :p) then pg ahad,mak naz masak bihun+frenchtoast for bfast.. (mcm hotel kan), then dah abis mkn, terus gerak masuk spore ngan keta naz, 1st stop umah monz kat marsiling, serius best gila wedding dia! meriah gang kompang ngan upbeat songs with drumrolls... then bila si ogy smp,kawan2 semua beratur depan pelamin halang rombongan pengantin laki smp diorg kasi duit angpau... ni tktau la samada adat ke apa...tp mmg best la...dpt 5 dolar lak tu sbb jd penghalang pengantin laki! tu yg best! :D kalau sehari ada 10 wedding, leh buat duit tu...ehehehe....food? heaven! semua ada la...dr ke nasik, spageti, bubur, satay... pergh mmg puas hati betul dpt p kenduri mkn bsar camni.. lepas tu kitorg gerak ke side ogy...dia buat kt Tampines CC (bkn cyber cafe tp community centre :p ) ala2 mcm dewan...tp mmg cun gila...fully air-cond...grand pelamin and super nice food presentation chair+table placements.. side ogy ni more to high tea...ye la org dh kenyang mkn nasik kt umah monz...kt sini mkn kuih2, kek2, pulut durian, coffee lak... overall, mmg tk rugi g spore dlm ms not even half day but for the sake of the new experience of seeing malay wedding culture kt spore...mmg puas hati! ;) lgpun dpt jmpa surya+monz pun dah kira cukup bagus...rindu sgt kt diorg! cuma tk sempat ja nk bmanja2 ngan monz coz dia busy dok sengih atas pelamin sepanjang hari...ahahhaha....tkpa2...nnt jun jmpa lg kt kenduri surya lak..insyaallah...

Weekend activities...& trapped in Bella&Edward's life! :)

last weekend, cuti 4 hari. Wowwweee...i certainly needed that, mmg bosan giler lah skrg ni nak ngadap 'cubical!' arrggghhh....but neway, nk crita pasal weekend activities.. my bro's fmly came bck to sp...dah lama jgk tk jmpa my nephews 2 org tu... adam and aiman....adam dah pandai dh ckp :) debabbbb....geram gila! :) aiman pun dh lain, dh tk sombong lg, murah dgn senyuman...hehee... ok, thursday before went back, tgk Twilight utk kali ke-n..hehee....tk ingt sbb dh byk kali dok tgk.., refresher show lah sbb mmg plan nk tgk new moon during long weekend...pas blk, jumaat tu lepak ja kt rumah...oooh almost frgot.. ada buat ' my-lil-travelling-box' project, to keep all those stuffs from my newly-found hobby - TRAVEL :) box tu starbux nye moon cake, past few yrs from someone :) i keep all those flight tix, entrance tix, coupons, bus tix, small change etc... belum penuh, so boleh pegi lg byk tpt ;-)

then saturday, i ask my bro to give my sis-in-law a holiday (from being a mom...heehhee) ... my bro, without hesitation allow her.. so , pg2 lg dah culik kak ina then went to carnival mall utk watch New Moon... the 1st show 1145am.. pergh awal gila...tp hall almost full jgk... i knew it, kalau mai lbt, fr sure tk dpt langsung seat... pastu , p popular nk cari buku...mcm tk best.. kak ina ajak p borders.. so, kitorg p pulak Qbay...lepak sana...mkn prosperity burger, then p borders...terjerumus dgn kak ina, so i bought the whole set of Twilight Saga books ... plan to buy only eclipse as i can't wait the continuation of new moon's story.. tp at last, tkleh tahan ngan set buku tu.....kerugian lah $300++ ..haha...tkpa la....bkn slalu pun bli buku nih... n later found out that it's not a bad decision at all! i love the books so much! they're such a page turner!!! mmg tkleh gerak p mana bila dah start baca...and i think so far, this is the fastest book i've completed reading! 2 hari, 630 pages!! haha.. skrg ni nk sambung baca Breaking Dawn... the epilogue is also as intriguing as Eclipse.... can't wait fr the movie!!!!

Thn ni beraya mcm biasa.. eventho tokmak da passsed away few months back, I still go to her house to visit my uncle's family who lives there.. aunty Wan masak ayam golek (pergh...mkn tk ingat smp nk tergolek :P ), ayaq asam..(huh...perfect combination), daging msk kicap.. apa lg tk ingt.. mmg sedap... eventho dah full ngan lemang+ketupat.. I could still eat fr 2 rounds.. hehehe.. mmg cun tk terkata.. ;-)
ok.. tu 1st raya.. 2nd raya p penang.. ni pun spt biasa gak.. umah amiman akan buat open hse lunch time.. mkn nasi beriani.. hmm... cun jgk.. but not able to go for 2 rounds.. dah full ngan kuih raya.. :)
3rd raya it's time to be the host..relative from mom's side came to our hse.. mama msk mee goreng.. before they came, I went to Tam's hse fr lunch with Kin....open hse lg....
4th raya.. still the host.. relative from dad's side came before they go back to kl.. mom cooked mee kuah...sedap kot, smp licin habis... aku pun tk sempat rasa.. hmm...tkpa2... nnt suh mama buat lg :) on this day, mmg dah plan awal2 ngan lyn+nurul... susun umah nk p beraya....first we started with nurul's....konon nk p bfast...last2 smp ~12 haha...jd brunch la.. nurul jamu nasi impit+kuah kcg+serunding+bihun goreng+kek+teh tarik spesel... :) next stop is lyn's... lyn ambik catering nasik...pastu ada ketupat+rendang+kerepekss+cheese cake... next is my hse.. mama msk mee kuah, then I bought ketupat+rendangTok from kakYam...free lemang comes with it :) kek sarawak+kuih raya+muruku+bahulu+kuih raya.. shima+tunang dia pun mai jgk frm lyn's hse.. stop ni plg lama coz the last one.. diorg lepak from 5 till 8-ish .. hehe.. but aftr all, we had lotsa fun.. ;-) mama excited sbb bwk foreigner mai rumah... foreigner tu pun satu lg punya seronok sakan enjoying the new culture.. ;)

Last Monday, on the way to work.. I came 'with' Macy Gray.... the soul singer songwriter who has a funny queerly voice..well, i did not particularly came with her but she was 'on' my disk player.. hehe... u'd probably remember her from her biggest hit song 'I Try'

Love pangs serve their purpose....

As per my daily horoscope tells... yes...the pangs and whams serve their purpose....for almost a month I have turned into someone that I myself do not know anymore... i turned into some crazy psycho woman who was subdued by anger under harsh circumstances, possesed by demon's crazy thoughts... I endured and suffered mental and emotional pain....

i am relieved now that it is over...( i hope it stays this way)...yes the love pangs serve their purpose... even my heart and mind is not as placid as it used to be before this, but at least I'm not a nutcase anymore.. am thankful enough for this...

Again, I hope it stays this way or even better than this....for a long long time...
