Deadlines --> deadmeat

I just came back from work after 16 suffering hours of just looking at the codes and debug em. I really can't wait to close this project coz I'm getting tired and bored of it by now. Apart from that I've actually learnt a lot during this project coz I developed it from scratch and by referring to other existing automation. So it's an important milestone for me to be in this new co and this new job. Without realizing it has been half year I've been working and living in this used-to-b-my-most-hated city. How time flies. Nothing much I can do so coz im bonded for a few years, all I hope is I'll survive. 1 of my strength that I found out during the strength finder training is 'adaptability', so i guess I'm well adapted to this whole new environment :) well I thank god for that natural skill given to me.

Fun Decision Making & Problem Solving training

I've attended several softskill training, and the last one was yesterday (2 days course) and I bet it's the most fun class I've been so far :) The trainer is an ex-marine and he called himself Captain Ariva, he might look serious but he is actually a great stand up comedian, we even asked him to go for next raja lawak audition :D Ok, back to training, basically this course helps us to think on how should we think. Thinking skills, what are importants when making decision. and the power of "CAN" word.

So the first day we had several team activities such as picture below. We were seperated into 6 groups and were asked to create and patent (hehe..) impossible stuff  such as helicopter seat ejector, silent alarm clock, underwater hair dryer and waterproof teabag. Yes it sounds crazy ,all of us cameout with all kind of ideas and below is what our group came up with, maybe we could send this to helicopters company for prototype design. haha..

We named it ACE HELIJECTOR. Cool heh? :) Anyone interested to try it?

These are some points thatI remembered from the class (captain, if ur reading this I'm sorry i wasn't paying 100% attention so I missed out some important things u might've said..hehe)

1) If you want to be Successful. Fail Faster -> it means the faster u made decision n moved on, the sooner u will fail and b able to correct ur mistake soon as well.

2)  OPV - Other people's view is important as the way other people are seeing things are different from what u see.

3)  Leverage - Use all the things around u to come out with good solutions. Even people.

4)  F.E.A.R - it means false evidence appearing real

5)  Psychology of asking -

• what (what else.... , what do you mean by ____? ) 
• how
• why

6)  Best practice sharing is great , in other word it is called 'copy' :)

  

Deadlines = S.T.R.E.S.S

Ok, this blogging thing has become once in a month thing , I am really lazy to update it sometimes. I got stuff to say but ending up no mood writing em up here. So what happen currently is that the customers are pushing for project release, although it's not even half way there yet It's really stressful when being pushed for the deadlines, I bet most of us would know this feeling. The original date is a month away, but now they have shorten it to 2 weeks. Sigh. I wish I could complete this project soon enough so that I could celebrate it sooner. It's gonna b the biggest achievement for me here I guess - new automation, I hope I can make it..

TI Orientation Day1

When I was typing sumthing on my phone, the trainer asked me "BF ok, say hi to him fr me? "
I said " Yup, OK !"
10mins later, trainer ask "You guys need 5 min break?"
I said "Nope, pls speed up as we wanna go back" and it was agreed by the whole class..HAHAHA... :D

Dah Sebulan Kat HW :)

15th --> Hr ni genap lah sebulan kat tpt baru. Alhamdulillah so far so good (I hope it'll maintain this way, guess will not, biasa la mana ada semua bnda senang kan.. msti ada ups and downs). Getting busier each day with more and more SAP projects coming in. Yeah, this is what I came here for, to be an SAP expert, so that my market value will be higher and then I'll be SAP consultant with 5 figure salary (huhu...dream on! :D ). Right,....back to reality, :) esok ada training, I'll be taking up Sandra's SAP security role, and she'll be giving me the training. Once complete, I'll be having new responsibility. She's passed me some related docs to review before training, so mlm ni ada homework la pulak, it's ok, for my own benefit jgk. But apa2 pun thanks to my great mentor for his great help and guidance. He's been such a great colleague and help to not only me, but lotsa ppl! It's nice when you've this kinda ppl as your team mate, eventhough the work is stressful enuf.
Guess that's all I've fr now, wish me luck!

since last friday dok kna check isu yg telah menscrapkan sebijik lot(25wafers) yg berharga ~sebijik MyV... jln kt my tool's New EI. Luckily I am not the developer... hehe... finally New STP and new EI architecture has scrapped a lot... hahaaa... and u know in the end the issue goes to who? of course it's me.... Wed-got email..I was on half day.. so Lyn lah yg kena terjah log file.. and root cause, EI use wrong lot info to start process for the wrong lot... I came in on second half...start tu tk duduk kt cube...kena p jadik CSI Kulim...req tool time..masuk FAB buat simulation...buat assumption and conclusion with vendor and automation guys... Thurs-still same issue...req tool time lg utk buat simulation with vendor's boss... req video from Security dept...luckily the video recording was done digitally...so it's quite clear compared to tape-based... and the camera is only focusing on that tool all the while....only 1 tool at the area... tgk video tu dkt 10 kali.. still can't get a very clear picture....today.. got the video clip from security....seriously la 5 thn dok sini tk pnah check isu smp p tgk rakaman video.. hehe rakaman... ter-skema pulak... tktau la... another few dadys to care for these issues... hehe..can't wait to cuci-tangan...

(wahhh....ni buat aku hangin ni...sikit punya log file aku nk kena berenang... suka2 hati dia nak aku check randomly, btwn 3 hrs duration logs pulak tuhh!!!!gila!)
Me: You need to give me problem statement, so that I know what to check. If you give me these info it is vr hard fr me to check......

ptg tu dpt la tya sorg PE yg baik hati ni, dia lah yg p check what was the real issue, and finnaly found out that it was caused by procedural issue (team si X ni)....bila aku reply , dah tau tu salah dia, tau pulak diam and tkmau reply apa2....mcm tu lah user....
buleh naik giler gue!!5 thn keja kt sini ni pun kira ok la sbb still normal....

Dept T-shirt design contest...

Dalam kekalutan yang melanda kf ofis hr ni, sempat jgk participate dlm design dept tshirt... hehe.. saja la design2... mula2 ada la 4 design, rasa mcm tk best ja design2 tu...haha2... sori la kalau designer tu terbaca :P so sajalah reka2 kt tshirt maker site.. :P some of my entries are below... :P

Final step - done

Final step done... counting days 'till 12th March ... betul ka apa yg aku buat? i hope so... my emotions right now? all scrambled up! terrified, hopeful, worried, anxious, anticipated.... hmm...will I ever regret of taking this step... ? I realize the path is totally changed...I'm taking a new turn, its not gonna be the same road...I'm gonna start all over again from the starting point.. good thing is I will hv the chance to learn lotsa new things... new experiences...meet new people....make some new friends.. but will I be okay? Will I fit in the new environment? Am I gonna be escaping from alligator's mouth into dragon's? hehe translation ok : keluar mulut buaya, masuk mulut naga... kihkih...
